The dwind software is an artifact of the NREL Distributed Wind Energy Futures Study. The Distributed Wind Energy Futures Study informs wind developers, grid planners, utilities, policymakers, and other stakeholders about opportunities for widespread U.S. distributed wind deployment in 2035.
